Why study Cert III in Applied Fashion Design & Tech?

This certificate provides the skills and knowledge required to work in production and applied design roles within the garment and fashion industry.

This certification is appropriate for workers producing apparel where a basic understanding of design and marketing is necessary, along with sewing expertise for support roles in patternmaking, the production of digitally printed or embroidered fabrics or garments, and sewing expertise for specialised machinists.

The things that would be made would either be one or a small quantity. This certification is particularly suitable for individuals who run their own businesses and produce goods in small quantities for marketplaces and other local distribution hubs.

To address the area of application’s needs for specialised abilities, elective units of competency might be chosen.

At the time of publication, there were no legal requirements for professional certification or licensure.
